One of the most standout Suntapes tracks. Release on 9 January 2026. Inspired by a peaceful grassland near the Barskoon waterfall, the track captures a quiet family moment after a mountain walk. Field recordings from the location form the foundation of the piece, blended with a slow piano melody and soft mellotron layers. Both melodies were recorded live while watching the video footage, creating a strong emotional link between sound and image.
Relax while watching the Issyk Kul video with the new Suntapes track that is released on 12 December 2025. While travelling in Kyrgyzstan in 2025, I filmed many beautiful nature landscapes inside Issyk Kul Lake and on the mountains around it. Even in summer it is easy to find desolate walking areas in that area on the east of Kyrgyzstan.
Circus these days has become something totally different than most people think. Circus acts in Belgium are very disperse, modern and always a bit surreal. No wonder most of these companies play shows all over the world. In coöperation with Circuscentrum Vlaanderen we're creating videos to show what circus in Flanders is all about.
Together with cameraman Jakob Rosseel we created 20 one-minute films that show each circus company in an outside setting somewhere in Flanders. Location hunting was an interesting part. We used deserted harbor areas, roundabouts, train tunnels, graveyards, strange houses, rooftops.
For every film I composed a custom soundtrack to go along with the vibe of the act.
